1. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES THAT WE USE

Web Browser Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is sent by a website to your computer or mobile device where it is stored by your web browser, or in the case of a mobile application in an embedded WebView browser. A cookie contains limited information, usually a unique identifier and the name of the online service that you are using. This information enables online services to recognize you as you interact with or revisit the service. This can include which pages you have visited, choices you have made from menus, any specific information you have entered into forms and the time and date of your visit.

There are two main types of cookies:

Session Cookies
Session cookies are temporary cookies that expire at the end of a browser session; that is, when you leave a website. Session cookies allow the website to recognize you as you navigate between pages during a single browser session and allow you to use the website most efficiently. For example, session cookies enable a website to remember that a user has placed items in an online
shopping basket.

Persistent Cookies
In contrast to session cookies, persistent cookies are stored on your equipment between browsing sessions until expiry or deletion which could be months or even years. They therefore enable the website to “recognize” you on your return, remember your preferences and tailor services to you over an extended period of time.

Cookies may be served to you by the website you are actually visiting at the time (a “first party cookie”) or by another organization operating on the website you are visiting, such as an analytics company or advertising network (a “third party cookie”).

Tracking Technologies: Web Beacons/Gifs, Pixels, Page Tags, Script

Web pages, emails and mobile apps may contain a small transparent image file or line of code to record how you interact with them. They are often used in conjunction with web browser cookies (or the identifiers associated with your mobile device), and they are used to help website and app publishers to better analyze and improve their services and to target advertising based on your browsing behavior and interests. For example, by knowing which web pages you visit or which elements of a page you viewed, when and for how long, whether you viewed and/or clicked on an advertisement on a site or whether you opened or clicked on marketing emails sent to you.

Tracking Via Mobile Apps

When you use a mobile app such as our Gigafin Mobile App, mobile app owners such as us and third parties may record unique identifiers associated with your device (such as the device ID, advertising identifiers, or IP address), your activity within the mobile app (such as websites you may have linked out to while inside the mobile app) and your network location.

This information may be used to analyze and improve the services delivered through the mobile app, learn how you use the mobile app, and to serve mobile app advertising to you.

2. HOW WE USE COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We and third parties may use cookies and tracking technologies to collect information from our Site and our Gigafin Mobile App.

For example, we may use session cookies to help us maintain security and verify your details whilst you use the Site and Gigafin Mobile App as you navigate from page to page, which enables you to avoid having to re-enter your details each time you enter a new page.

We may use persistent cookies to help us recognize you as a unique user when you return to our Site or Gigafin Mobile App so that you do not have to input your details multiple times as you move between our pages or Services, remember how you have customized your use of our Site or Gigafin Mobile App, such as your time zone, and collect and compile anonymous, aggregated information for statistical and evaluation purposes to help us understand how you use our Site and Gigafin Mobile App and help us improve the structure of our Site and Gigafin Mobile App.

In particular, our Site and Gigafin Mobile App may use the following specific categories of cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are cookies which are needed to provide Services you have specifically requested. We may use cookies and tracking technologies required to prevent fraudulent activity, improve security, and/or for system administration. We are not required to obtain your consent to cookies that are strictly necessary.

Functionally Related Cookies
We may use cookies to tell us, for example, whether you have visited our Site or used our Gigafin Mobile App before or if you are a new visitor or user and to help us identify the Services in which you may have the greatest interest.

Analytical and Performance Related Cookies
In addition to cookies which send information to us, we also use cookies which collect information and send it to third parties. An example of this is Google Analytics. We may use Google Analytics, and other similar services, to collect statistical information about how our Site and Gigafin Mobile App are used.

These “analytical services” use information such as your IP address, browser type and unique identifiers stored in cookies on your devices to record how you interact with our Site and Gigafin Mobile App. These analytical services help us to know how many users we have, which parts of our Site and Gigafin Mobile App are most popular, what browsers and devices are used (so we can maximize compatibility), the region of the country where our users are located, and the demographics and interests of our users.

This enables us to better understand who is using our Site and Gigafin Mobile App and to ensure we are reaching our target demographic, and to improve and tailor our Services accordingly.

Targeting Related Cookies
We may use cookies to deliver content, including advertisements, relevant to your interests on our Site, on our Gigafin Mobile App, and third-party websites based on how you interact with our advertisements or content.

The advertisements served to you on our websites and mobile apps and on third-party services are sometimes targeted based on your online activities over time and across third party websites and services. As a result, you may see advertising based on website content you have been viewing on another website.

For example, a retailer might use information about the products you browsed on their website in order to tailor their advertisement to you on our Site or in our Gigafin Mobile App. Advertisements may come from third party companies called “ad networks.” “Ad networks” include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms.

Your web browser must allow ad networks to view, edit or set their own cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or similar tracking tools on your browser, just as if you had visited a web page from their website. We may share information collected via cookies and tracking technologies, such as advertising identifiers, with third-party marketers to support interest-based advertising.

By using our Site and/or our Gigafin Mobile App, you consent to the use of cookies and tracking technologies and the corresponding processing of information. The information collected for interest-based advertising does not contain information that directly identifies you.

You may have a choice about whether to have your information collected for the foregoing referenced purposes. See “Your Cookies Choices and How to Opt-Out” for information about how to exercise that choice.

3. YOUR COOKIES CHOICES AND HOW TO OPT-OUT

You have the choice whether to accept the use of cookies and we have explained how you can exercise your rights below.

Web Browsers

Most browsers are initially set up to accept HTTP Cookies. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies and how to disable existing cookies. For more information about HTTP cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/.

We are not responsible for the effectiveness of any such opt-out options. California residents may be entitled to know the effects of opt-out options under California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b)(7). Additionally, California residents have the right to opt-out from the ”sale” of their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). We do not sell your personal information for money, but the use of cookies and other tracking technologies in connection with services may be deemed a “sale” of personal information under the CCPA.

To opt-out of the sale of cookie data to advertising networks (targeting cookies), click here. Your opt-out will cause information to cease to be added to any cookies or other tracking technologies that have been set on our Site or Gigafin Mobile App or block them entirely.

Please note, you will need to opt-out again if you visit our Site or Gigafin Mobile App from a different device or browser if you clear your cookies. Controlling the HTML5 local storage on your browser depends on which browser you use. For more information regarding your specific browser please consult the browser’s website (often in the Help section). Without HTTP cookies and HTML5 local storage, you may not be able to take full advantage of all our Site features and some parts of the Site may not function properly.

Mobile Devices

For Apple devices with iOS6 and higher, you can access the settings on your device to Limit Ad Tracking to reflect your preference to not receive interest-based advertising. You may still see advertisements. But they may be less relevant to you. If you reset your advertising identifier in the settings, you will receive a new identifier, which will not be tied to your previous online activities. That identifier may be used to serve you interest-based advertising.

For Android devices, you can access Ads under your Google account settings to opt out of ads personalization. You may still see advertisements. But they may be less relevant to you. If you reset your advertising identifier in the settings, you will receive a new identifier, which will not be tied to your previous online activities. That identifier may be used to serve you interest-based advertising.

You can opt out of some interest-based advertising on mobile devices by downloading the App Choices app. For more information see https://youradchoices.com. You can find more information about your mobile choices at http://allaboutdnt.com.

We may use social plugins on our Site and as part of our Gigafin Mobile App.

The social plugins we may use on the Site and as part of our Gigafin Mobile App are hosted by a social media network such as Facebook or Instagram or others, and your browser or the Gigafin Mobile App would therefore send or initiate cookie data to that social media network when loading the social plugin inside your browser or the Gigafin Mobile App.

Such cookie data could contain information on your use of the Site and/or the Gigafin Mobile App in the case you were registered with a particular social media network.

5. CONSENT
